Monero casinos: five that accept XMR, and when each asks for ID

Five casinos list Monero as a payment coin: DuckDice and Rakebit for deposits and withdrawals, and Wolf.bet, Jack.com and Fairspin in their published coin lists. Paying in XMR hides the transaction on-chain, not you from the casino. Each one’s terms still let it ask for ID, and the timeline on each card shows at which step.

Casinos that accept Monero

Ordered by how complete the Monero support is, then by how late ID enters under each casino’s terms.

#1

DuckDice

Monero deposits and withdrawals

Dice and casino site that lists XMR with both deposits and withdrawals switched on.

  1. Sign-upChecks allowed at any time
  2. DepositChecks allowed at any time
  3. First withdrawalManual review in some cases
  4. Large amountsLimits tied to verification level
No ID in the termsMay be askedID required

The strongest Monero record in this list: XMR appears in the confirmation table, the withdrawal-fee table and the coin settings, with deposits and withdrawals both enabled. On ID, DuckDice keeps a general right to request KYC/AML documents and names no amount, so nothing in its terms makes a check automatic.

#2

Rakebit

Monero deposits and withdrawals

Anjouan-licensed casino whose payment list names XMR and ZEC as its privacy options.

  1. Sign-upNot a named step
  2. DepositIf a payment provider needs it
  3. First withdrawalID, selfie, proof of address
  4. Large amountsFrequent large withdrawals reviewed
No ID in the termsMay be askedID required

Rakebit runs XMR in both directions alongside 30-plus other coins. Its marketing and its rules point different ways: the homepage promises no documents to register, play or withdraw, but the Terms of Use require ID, a selfie and proof of address with the first withdrawal request, whatever coin you use.

  2. DepositPayments can be restricted
  3. First withdrawalSuspicious transactions reviewed
  4. Large amountsNo amount published
No ID in the termsMay be askedID required

The FAQ lists Monero (XMR) as supported without splitting deposits from withdrawals. KYC sits in a discretion clause with no amount and no first-withdrawal rule; banned-account refunds are verified with a signed message from the depositing wallet.

#4

Jack.com (Jackbit)

  3. First withdrawalIdentification before payouts
  4. Large amountsSource of income, video possible

Section 4 of the terms lists XMR as an accepted currency, so Monero is a playing currency rather than a swap-in. Expect identification before you are paid: the KYC policy puts client identification before any financial transaction, and the terms mention video verification and source of income. “Listed” means Monero appears in the casino’s coin list without a separate statement on withdrawals. Before sending a large XMR deposit, open the cashier and check the address network, minimum and confirmation count.

What does Monero hide, and what does it not?

Monero hides three things that Bitcoin shows. Ring signatures mix the real input with decoys so outsiders cannot tell which one was spent. One-time stealth addresses mean a payment cannot be linked to an address the receiver published. Ring Confidential Transactions hide the amount; Monero’s own glossary describes RingCT as “how transaction amounts are hidden in Monero” (getmonero.org).

None of that reaches the account layer. The casino logs each XMR deposit and withdrawal against the player account, and its terms, not the coin, decide when it asks for documents. A casino can also request a source-of-funds explanation, which a private blockchain makes harder for you to give, not easier. The exchange where you bought the XMR normally holds your identity too. Paying in Monero changes what strangers can see on a block explorer; it does not change what the casino can ask.

Zcash, Dash and Litecoin

Monero applies its privacy features to every transaction. Zcash and Dash have optional privacy features, and Litecoin is an ordinary transparent chain. Cloudbet is the clearest case of a casino that takes Zcash and Dash but not Monero.

What EU law says about privacy coins

The EU Anti-Money-Laundering Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2024/1624, applies from 10 July 2027 (Article 90). Article 79(1) stops credit institutions, financial institutions and crypto-asset service providers from keeping anonymous crypto-asset accounts “or any account otherwise allowing for the anonymisation of the customer account holder or the anonymisation or increased obfuscation of transactions, including through anonymity-enhancing coins”. Article 2 defines those coins as crypto-assets with built-in features designed to make transfer information anonymous, and Recital 160 exempts providers of hardware, software or self-hosted wallets that do not control the wallets.

The rule targets EU exchanges and custodians, not the Monero network. Separately, the Transfer of Funds Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/1113) has applied since 30 December 2024 to crypto transfers handled by service providers.

Monero casino FAQ

Which online casinos accept Monero?

DuckDice and Rakebit list XMR for both deposits and withdrawals. Wolf.bet, Jack.com and Fairspin include Monero in their published coin lists without stating XMR withdrawals separately. Stake, BitStarz, Roobet, Shuffle and Cloudbet publish coin lists that do not include it.

Do Monero casinos still ask for ID?

They can. All five keep the right to verify identity: Rakebit requires ID with the first withdrawal, Jack.com before payouts, and Fairspin before the first deposit, while DuckDice and Wolf.bet name triggers but no amount. No amount is guaranteed to be check-free.

Is Monero 100% untraceable?

No. Ring signatures, stealth addresses and RingCT hide sender, receiver and amount on the Monero blockchain, but the casino records every deposit and withdrawal against the player account, and the exchange where you bought XMR usually knows who you are.

Is Monero illegal in the USA?

Owning Monero is not banned by a US federal law; the practical limits are access, because some exchanges have dropped privacy coins. Gambling is a separate question: DuckDice, Rakebit, Wolf.bet and Fairspin all list the United States as a restricted country, and Jack.com accepts players only where online gambling is legal.

Does Stake accept Monero?

Stake’s help-centre list of supported coins and networks does not include Monero. It lists Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, XRP, EOS, Tron and other networks.

How do you turn Monero into cash?

That happens at an exchange or broker, not at a casino, and regulated exchanges run their own identity checks. In the EU, crypto-asset service providers may not keep accounts that allow anonymisation through anonymity-enhancing coins from 10 July 2027.

Will Monero be banned in the EU?

Not as a coin. From 10 July 2027, Article 79 of the EU AML Regulation bars credit institutions, financial institutions and crypto-asset service providers from keeping anonymous crypto-asset accounts or accounts allowing anonymisation, including through anonymity-enhancing coins. That affects EU exchanges and custodians that handle such coins.
